In promoting Project Croatian Flora Fauna through ham radio participation by activators & hunters, the Radio Club Croatian Flora Fauna has, in collaboration with Croatian Water Authority Hrvatske vode, established a CROATIAN FLORA and FAUNA On The Air© program. All Plaques and Awards are free-of-charge and delivered to winners as post-paid by Radio Club Croatian Flora Fauna. Following the intentions of WWFF, we will follow suggestion of participants and send most of awards by e-mail as a *pdf.
An Annual 9AFF Award (Program) will be issued to the most successful FF activators and hunters during one calendar year, in their two respective categories.
Special merits shall be credited to activation of, or contact with so-called water area, a spot predominantly attributed as ‘waters’, duly highlighted on the 9AFF list.
9AFF program in 2017 through stats
Based on criteria “at least 5 points”, our robot (tnx to 9A2SC) shows next information:
– 150 domestic chasers
– 20 Croatian radio club stations as chasers
– 2425 foreign chasers
“The least 5 points criteria” means that chasers made contact with at least 2 different references (protected areas). If someone made QSO with only one reference, this could happen by chance. We do not care about him. :).
Conclusion: all of 2595 (150+20+2425) chasers can apply for Annual Flora Fauna Award. All of them can do it here.
Lists of the best 9AFF chasers in 2017 are available here.
– IZ8XJJ (1st place, foreign chasers)
– 9A4FM (1st place, domestic chasers)
– 9A1KDE (1st place, club stations)
Thanks to all domestic and foreign activators, there were 174 activities from 73 unique areas (references) and – 29.123 QSO’s!
– The best domestic activators are: 9A2SC and 9A3GSV (same points).
– Radio Club Croatian Flora Fauna, 9A1WFF is on the first place as Club station.
– The best foreign activator is xyl Evi, 9A/OE7EVI.
Note: An important element in the calculation of activators points is the number of QSOs which activator made from some reference.
